Overview
Birds and Blossoms is a day care and early learning centre in Sage Hill, Calgary. Parents choosing childcare are making one of the most anxious decisions they will make, and they make it largely from a website before they ever visit.
Childcare sites tend to read as either a brochure or a compliance document, and neither answers what a parent is actually asking: who will be with my child, what will the day look like, and will anyone notice them. The site had to answer that honestly, in the centre's own voice, and end at a booked tour.
The approach.
Written for the parent, not the regulator
Play is the lesson, big feelings and small people, grown-ups who really see them. Each section answers a question parents ask on the phone.
The day, room by room
Infants through kindergarten each get their own space on the site, so a parent can picture exactly where their child would be.
A gentle, unhurried interface
Soft type, real photography and generous spacing. The site is calm because the decision it supports is not.
One clear next step
Every page leads to booking a tour, because no website closes a childcare decision — a visit does.
A warm, parent-first site that carries the centre's tone from the first line to the tour booking, and gives families in Sage Hill a reason to visit rather than keep scrolling.
